Born a Cornhusker in Omaha, Nebraska, Shaina's family picked up and moved to Rhode Island in 1996. She was a graduate of Ponaganset High School and a College graduate of Rhode Island College where she majored in Business Management and focused her art courses in Dance- her true passion. At the age of 5, Shaina joined a local dance studio taking classes in Ballet, Tap and Jazz where she would compete and perform all over the country. She began assistant teaching dance at the age of 13 and started teaching her own classes at the age of 18 quickly realizing teaching dance was her life.

Shaina was a member of the Cat Country Elite Dance Troupe for two years as the Choreography Captain performing at various promotional events and large venues such as the Dunkin' Donuts Center, McCoy Stadium and numerous famous country star concerts. She was the Choreographer for Assumption College Dance Team season 2013-2014.  Since opening Beyond the Barre in 2016, Shaina's choreography has been recognized and received multiple choreography awards at competitions and her routines have placed first with high platinum scores in many regional and national competitions. Shaina has a contagious love for dance and for her students and would not want to spend her time doing anything but sharing her passion with others. In a world that is always evolving and changing, she believes that the art of dance always has something new and exciting to offer and learn. Shaina continues to take professional classes and trainings to better educate herself and her students with new techniques and lessons.
